Shampoo ginger plants/ rhizomes
Shampoo Ginger is a clumping perennial that has reed-like stems and is native to tropical Asia. Liking a moist environment, it can be found growing in the wild near rivers, waterfalls and other water sources. It is commonly grown as a houseplant or it does well in a container that can be brought indoors over the winter as it is not very frost tolerant.
Its leaves are used as a food wrap that will help keep fish moist while adding the flavor of ginger to the food.
The oils from the rhizome is used in making perfumed soaps and other toilet articles. Ground into a powder, the dried rhizome is used as a perfume.

As described and well packaged...thank you.
I'm so Thankful that they didn't take forever with this order. Also item as described!
Plants arrived in excellent condition. Very well packed and quick arrival. I cant wait to see how my shampoo ginger does! Thank you for the care instructions.
The plant looks healthy except it is root bound.
Rhizomes looked good when planted. 3 weeks later, they are growing.
They had nice, strong roots and were super leafy and green. They were also about the length of the front of my arm so nice and tall starters, I loved them and now I'm super excited. One of the ones I received even had rhizomes. I bought three of them but two of them had three stems each and one had two stems, eight stems all together between the three of them. I cant wait to get some shampoo out of them around this time next year! I was told they are far enough along where I would only need to wait a few months to a year. My hair needs this. Thank you, thank you, thank you. ??
As advertised, had more of the plant than I was expecting. I was expecting mostly the rhizome.
I patiently waited for activity on my plant. I went on vacation for 10 days and when I returned I was super excited to see she sprouted!!!
Plopped them in the ground and after a bit of patience, they came up!
My mother was very happy with these.
